David De La Fuente, PT, DPT, CSCS
Bio: David is a graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA., where he attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health and a Minor in Communications, as well as becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
David continued his studies at Dominican College in Orangeburg, N.Y. were he completed his Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in May 2005, and his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in May 2008.
David has been practicing for the past ten years in the Middlesex County, Union County, Monmouth County, and Sussex County regions in New Jersey. He has years of experience and training in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as school based and skilled nursing facilities.
Where he has extensive training in McKenzie Approach to Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy, Craniofacial Pain (TMJ), Cervicogenic headaches, as well as biomechanical and neuromuscular dysfunction.
David is the owner of Cornerstone Physical Therapy Health & Wellness Center , which specializes in one-on-one care for those suffering from every facet of orthopedic, high level neurological and geriatric conditions.
Sukhmeet Singh, “Mickey”, DPT - Physical Therapist
Bio: Sukhmeet Singh is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Sukhmeet received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Misericordia University, Dallas, PA, and has been working in the Physical Therapy field for over 2 years. Sukhmeet received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Biology, at Saint Peter’s University, Jersey City, NJ.
He works hand in hand with his patients and their physicians, to maximize functional outcome to effectively and efficiently return patients to their desired activity level.
Christine Carlo, PT
Bio: Christine holds a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Sciences from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, currently known as The University of Science in Philadelphia. Christine has more than 23 years of experience as a physical therapist, specializing in the treatment of pediatric conditions such as developmental coordination disorder. Autism spectrum disorders, neurological deficits, cerebral palsy, sensory integration dysfunction, and numerous other congenital and orthopedic conditions. Recently, Christine has started a program for infants with Torticollis, allowing for the early treatment and prevention of related developmental delays and disorders. Additionally Christine has many years of experience working with adults following joint replacement surgery, stroke, and cardiac surgery as well as those dealing with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. Christine has been a member of the Cornerstone team for nearly 6 years, and is very passionate about improving the lives of all her patients.
Kimberly Rokosz, PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant
Bio: Kimberly Is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Union County College in 2008 with an Associate in Applied Science.
While in school Kim had two clinical affiliations with David DeLaFuente at Cornerstone. These two affiliations consisted of one observational clinical and one full-time eight week clinical. With these motivational and educational experiences she chose to direct her career towards the out-patient orthopedic world. Kim plans to further her schooling in Physical Therapy.
Patrick Joseph Chinjen, “PJ”, PTA
Bio: PJ is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011. PJ has continued his education and pursued a career in physical therapy by completing the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Union County College and graduated in 2014 with an Associate in Applied Science.
During his affiliation as a student for Cornerstone Physical Therapy Health & Wellness, Kimberly Rokosz was his clinical instructor where he was able to learn and apply his skills under her supervision.
Elizabeth A Jessen, OTR/L - Occupational Therapist
Bio: Graduate from Kean University 1990 with a BS in Occupational Therapy. Also obtained additional coursework at NYU towards an Advanced Masters Degree in Developmental Disabilities. Currently is employed for Youth Consultation Service at the Sawtelle Learning Center for the past 15 years. Elizabeth Jessen is the Assistant Vice President of Allied Health Services –OT division.
Her practice specializes in the field of Autism and has been working with children and young adults within the Autism Spectrum for the past 19 years. Sensory Integration, handwriting issues, delay of fine/gross/self-help skills, poor body awareness, behavior management and ABA techniques are just a few of Elizabeth’s areas of expertise. Her dedication of this specialty area has been her passion.
Elizabeth is a mother of 2 teenage boys and enjoys doing many things WITH THEM. She is a CCD teacher at her church and marches in the Bridgemen Drum & Bugle Corps in her spare time.
Margery A. Buttelmann, LMT
Bio: Margery is a licensed Massage Therapist who graduated from Therapeutic Massage and Training Center in Westfield, New Jersey. She was trained in deep tissue therapeutic massage, but also enjoys helping clients to get relief from stress and pain through Swedish massage, hot stone massage, and sports massage techniques.
Margery is a lifelong resident of Clark. She lives here with her husband and three children. She enjoys power-walking, running, reading, and cruising anywhere the ship will take her when she vacations. Margery has also trained in Tae Kwon Do and has achieved high blue belt status (high intermediate belt level).
